Hello,

I’ve got a 2001 VW Passat V6 and have noticed (with alarm!) that the shelf that the battery sits on is filling up with significant amounts of water each time it rains.

My local VW dealer says it’s because the water “drains” have gotten clogged up. But based on their description of where these drains are located I can’t seem to find them.

Do you know of a drawing online that illustrates where these water drains are — (near the battery)? Or perhaps can offer a clear description as to how to locate and clean the drain?

I need to remove the inside panel from my 2005 Passat wagon passenger side door. I’ve gotten so far as to remove the bottom screws and popped several clips but I cannot seem to get the top lip off to remove the panel completely. I can’t even lift the panel far enough to see what’s holding it in place.

hi, the lock in my van on the passanger side is broken. The key will only go in a little way. This means that any key/ screwdriver can open it. Do i need to take it somewhere to be fixed or is it easy to do yourself? thanks

we have a ton of bad potholes around here. not to mention my car is a semi piece of crap. i dont know if i hit a pot hole and made something go loose in there or if i blew a fuse but all four windows stopped working at the same time. so that is my guess and i cant find anywhere where they know where to look on my car so if anyone has an idea, i would be grateful if you could help me?

Please , some friends and collegues recommended to make the Lubricant Oil changes every 4 months independent of the total of kms travelled. But I think that is very short this time for Change of oil and filters. I live in Cuba and they said that this recommendation is due to the Hot temperatures in our country.

The Key to take the lug nuts off was not in the car when I bought it. and the closest VW dealer is about 2 hours away. I got replacement lug nuts sent to me hoping that a tire dealer around my area would have a master set but everybody I have talked to said they have to have the key. I was just wondering if anybody has taken these off with anything other than the wheel key.
