We found vintage Peugeot 12-speed at a garage sale today and were trying to find the model number and/or year of manufacture. Looked under the bottom bracket shell and found the number B1115816. Anyone have any ideas of where else to look or how to get this information?
Thanks a bunch!

I have a Peugeot bicycle that I’m trying to fix or sell, whatever is easier. The serial number indicates that it was made in 1985, but I can’t find a website that will help me with the model number. It has a sticker that says Carbolite 103, but I can’t find any information on it. If you know someone that knows about bikes or can direct me to a website, please let me know, thanks.
It looks exactly like ones in picture but how can I tell for sure?
The frame looks exactly like this one (http://www.classicrendezvous.com/France/bicycles/Peugeot/Peug_63PX10.htm) but with different decals. Exact same lugs etc.
How much will it cost to have the old vertical dropouts removed and horizontal drop outs welded on…and.will it be strong enough?
The Peugeot road bicycle I have was bought by my mom sometime in the 1980’s in Germany. I used to love riding it to school, but since I’ve gone to college, it’s been stored and haven’t seen it for a while. I want to reclaim it and fix it for use again. I know for certain the tire or innertube needs to be replaced. It’s also possible that the spokes are worn and rusty and I think I might just need a whole new tire or two. Do bike shops still sell the tires I might need for this older bike? Otherwise, where should I order the parts?

I want to buy this bike and the asking price is $440. Do you think that the price is worth it?
