		<description>Not too successful, because of maintenance and parts being hard to find and very few dealerships, in rural areas it was impossible to get service.   

I was at the Los Angeles Car show quite a while ago and Renault had one of its rally cars there.  It constantly ran a video on a huge screen showing it during a rally run, the video was shot from the back through the windshield showing the instruments and the driver and co-pilot.  It was snowing, you couldn&#039;t see a 50 meters ahead on the mountain road, and they were going around some of the corners at over 100kph.....  I was amazed.

Every now and then I see a restored rally car at local car shows.  They generally get a lot of attention because they are really rare in the USA.</description>
