Sounds like the starter solenoid isn’t engaging the starter teeth. The starter motor will still whir but the solenoid isn’t pushing it up into the engine gears to turn the engine over. Call a dealership and ask to speak to a mechanic. He should be able to determine over the phone if this is the case. If the dealership won’t do that, don’t ever go there again.
