I recently took my peugeot 206cc into peugeot for some warranty work, as the clutch was making a funny sort of noise sometimes when it was pressed. Peugeot phoned me yesterday and said that they replaced a ball bearing which relates to the clutch cable, and they’v just put a bloody new clutch in as well, which suprise suprise isnt covered under warranty and will cost £200! I specifically told them not to fit anything that isnt covered under warranty before calling me, and I didnt get a call, so what shall i do? There is a sign up in the reception area that says “old replaced parts are available for customers to collect if necassary”. Shall i just tell them to stick the old one back in as im sure the old one was not damaged at all. Or shall i fight it out and try to get the clutch for free?
